Chuar and company

Here's a nearby street (near to our university). It's a typical afternoon - you can see the markets, a guy on his tricycle, bringing stuff around, and a group of (my) friends chatting. To the left is a BBQ meat on a stick stand - what is called "chuar" in Chinese.

The same street at night. Here is another chuar stand. Now that it's summer, the evenings are warm and everyone goes out.

People love to eat chuar.

Gaetan & Guillaume in white. :-)

Including us. Here's the left-overs of our meal - maybe around 60 sticks of meat...
Guillaume (French) and Simon (from Quebec City) testing out Yorgen's (German) sidecar, which was given to him by a friend leaving the country. When Yorgen leaves, he will in turn leave it to someone else. It's quite a cool toy (although maybe somewhat useless) to have.

Yorgen (in green) and Simon.

Branko (Croation) in red, with Yorgen. Smokes are so cheap in China, everybody smokes. Don't worry mom, I haven't started.
